UNLAD Ship Manning and Management Corp. proudly joined the PASEI Marketing Mission to Austria, held from May 31 to June 7, 2025, in the picturesque cities of Vienna and Innsbruck, with great collaboration with Advantage Austria.
As one of ten member agencies of the Philippine Association of Service Exporters, Inc. (PASEI), UNLAD was honored to represent the Filipino seafaring industry on a global stage, promoting ethical recruitment, cross-border collaboration, and the unmatched skill and dedication of the Filipino workforce.
Bridging Opportunities at the EXPORTTAG25
A key highlight of the mission was PASEI’s participation in Exporttag25, Austria’s largest international export fair. With over 2,000 attendees, the PASEI booth served as a hub for dialogue and discovery, officially inaugurated by Ambassador Luli Arroyo-Bernas, Labor Attaché Delmer Cruz, and Consul Candy Tuvida. UNLAD’s presence at this event emphasized its commitment to expanding opportunities for Filipino seafarers and skilled workers in sectors such as healthcare, tourism, and logistics.
Building Stronger Ties with Austrian Stakeholders
Throughout the mission, delegates engaged in B2B networking sessions and roundtable meetings hosted by WKO Tirol, establishing new leads and exploring partnerships with Austrian companies, trade chambers, and government bodies. These conversations laid the groundwork for potential deployment programs and collaborations in line with UNLAD’s long-term goal of diversification and global reach.
Diplomacy, Unity, and Shared Purpose
One of the most memorable aspects of the mission was the genuine camaraderie and collaboration among the delegates. The UNLAD team, along with other participating agencies, demonstrated what unity in purpose can achieve—sharing contacts, ideas, and strategies without competition. As captured in lighthearted moments—whether it was filming TikToks or taking in the alpine views together—the delegation returned not just with leads and prospects, but with stronger inter-agency relationships.

By joining the PASEI mission, UNLAD reaffirmed its role as a proactive and ethical player in the global labor market. The trip was not only a celebration of diplomacy and networking but a statement of our readiness to bring Filipino talent to more parts of the world, guided by integrity, quality service, and heart.
